Pet mutations change how useful a pet is — some automate harvesting, others stack value. Pets are mutated at the Pet Mutation Station once a pet reaches age 50 (costs 500M Sheckles; one random mutation that replaces any existing one). Base odds below were cross-checked on 2026-07-26. Crop-side multipliers are in crop mutations; pet rankings in pet tier list.

Why they matter

High-mutation pets automate harvesting, speed growth, and win stealing fights. Mutations are mutually exclusive — only one applies per pet, and a new mutation replaces the old, so choosing which pet to mutate is the real decision. See stealing and tier list.

Data accuracy

Pet mutation odds shift with game updates. The figures here were cross-checked against public wikis (e.g. IGN) on 2026-07-26 — verify current odds in-game before trading a pet.

FAQ

Can a specific mutation be forced?

No — the result is random at the Mutation Station. Your real lever is which pet you mutate (and keeping a pet you want unmutated). Event-specific mutations come from Pet Mutation Shards.
